Blue Mountain Community Radio in 2010

With generous support & guidance of Portland's oldest community-operated radio, KBOO FM, our community endeavors to build a Volunteer-Powered, Non-Commercial, Listener-Sponsored, Full-Strength Radio serving the greater Umatilla county area.

Broadcasting 24 hour, 7 days a week, BMC Radio, will transmit on 90.5 FM from our yet to be built studio in Pendleton, Oregon. As community facilitators, Radio KBLU will provide support for community members or groups to produce their own radio programs.

Community
Like sister stations, KBOO and Radio Tierra in Hood River in addition to music and news shows, BMC Radio invites community members to explore a wide variety of themes, emphasizing programs that deal with local issues or communities that are under-served by the mainstream media.

Our mission is to provide high quality, innovative programming to the Gorge area and the world, which will bring together our diverse populations in order to promote mutual understanding, community support, and opportunities for community development. Significant attention will be given to broadcasting in Spanish and outreach to area youth.
